on tuesday we started the simulations with the guppys, the starbustrs, and the moths.
on wednesday we continued our simulations and started a google document.

on monday we worked on the projects
on tuesday we worked on the projects until they were do at the end of the period.
on wednesday we played withe cockroaches. we also went over what an observation is and how to take them. one of the cockroaches that we had was a retart. he ran into a book so then he backs up and runs into it again and keeps doing it. but hey didn't move as much as i thought they would.
on thursday we took the test

genetic variety
genetic variety played a huge part when we made the reebops. if everyone genotype was the same then we would all look the same and everything would be boring. but since everyone had genetic variety then one person could be green, have spikes, and have wings while an other person could be brown, not have spikes, and not have wings. it also controls if you are a boy or girl.
on Monday we reviewed who was in our family. to do that we checked the genes of the f3 bug and read out the colors. if you had a color that was read out then you would stand up. unfortunately we had people with the same color as other people so we took the rest of the period to fix that.

i forgot what we did on monday
on tuesday we learned how to do a die hybrid cross. i think we also had our last spongebob sheet.
on wednesday we reveiwed our homework and we also learned more about a die hybrid cross.
on thursday we wasted a whole class period because we had to change something about our blogs. when we were not doing that we went over the back of the spongebob sheet.
on friday we split up and got some bug dna. then we went back together as a group and added spikes on the legs as another one of the traits. then we drew the bugs on paper.

on Wednesday we switched seats and reviewed meiosis. we also took notes and reviewed how meiosis happens in boys and girls.

on Monday we reviewed terms like DNA, gene, protein, mRNA, tRNA, codon, and amino acid.for homework we made a cocept map of those terms.
on tuesday we added other terms to the ones from yesterday. we also took notes on the terms. we didn't have any homework that day.
on wednesday we reveiwed the concept map from monday and we had to do 25% of the study guide for homework. in class bwe started to look at root cells under microscopes.
on thursday we went obver the 25% of the study guide we did for homework and answered questions we had about that. we also had to do 50% of the study guide that night.
on the final day of the week we took notes on reproduction and mitosis. we reveiwed the study we had done so far and had to do 75% of the study guide for homework tonight.
